Use Case

Ideal for crafting premium custom blades, including:

  • High-end custom knives
  • Collector or presentation pieces
  • Hunting and utility knives
  • Professional kitchen or chef’s knives

The Floral Mosaic pattern merges decorative complexity with metallurgical strength, making it a preferred choice for functional showpieces and luxury knives.

Heat Treatment Recommendation

To achieve optimal results from your 1080 × 15N20 Damascus:

  1. Normalize: Heat to 870 °C (1600 °F), air cool 2–3 times
  2. Austenitize: Heat to ~800 °C (1475 °F)
  3. Quench: Warm oil (~60 °C / 140 °F)
  4. Temper: 200–205 °C (390–400 °F) for two 1-hour cycles

The result is a balanced hardness of 58–60 HRC, offering strong edge retention and toughness.
